A little bit about this website

The inspiration for the design of this version of my website came through a dear friend of mine, Brian Reeves. Architecture being his course of study at the moment, we were talking one evening and he began to share his research on something called the "golden rectangle". Check it out and see if you can discover how I acted on that inspiration ;).

The background image for this site was procured from the very generous squidfingers, who's made a large number of backgrounds available free of charge for the webmaster in need of a little inspiration.

This website was built from the ground up in Dreamweaver 8, with the graphics designed in Photoshop CS 2.

The layout is nearly valid XHTML and 100% validated CSS.

The image in the top right is a picture of Lake Tahoe, California : ).

For my blog, I'm using the WordPress platform, with Akismet and Bad Behavior for my spam blocking, FeedSmith for my FeedBurner powered RSS feed, a Lightbox 2 plugin to handle my entry images, Alex King's Share This plugin, Dean's Permalink Migration Plugin to finalize my move from Blogger to WordPress (old old story) and, last but not least, Oliver's WordPress Contact Form plugin to handle the requests for free books that come in.

It seems I'm always on the move. When I was younger, my family traveled a lot and I was certain that "when I grew up" I'd stay in one place. Well, I'm still growing, but it doesn't look like I'll ever stop traveling ;).
